XAMPP est une distribution Apache entièrement gratuite et facile à installer contenant MariaDB, PHP et Perl. Le package open source XAMPP a été configuré pour être incroyablement facile à installer et à utiliser.

De nombreuses personnes savent par expérience qu'il n'est pas facile d'installer un serveur Web Apache et que cela devient plus difficile si vous souhaitez ajouter MariaDB, PHP et Perl. L'objectif de XAMPP est de créer une distribution facile à installer pour que les développeurs puissent entrer dans le monde d'Apache. Pour le rendre pratique pour les développeurs, XAMPP est configuré avec toutes les fonctionnalités activées. Dans le cas d'une utilisation commerciale, veuillez consulter les licences du produit, du point de vue de XAMPP, l'utilisation commerciale est également gratuite. Il existe actuellement des distributions pour Windows, Linux et OS X.

Le package comprend le serveur Web Apache, MySQL, PHP, Perl, un serveur FTP et phpMyAdmin.
